THS Class of 1971 Reunion 2016

 See You at Summers Mill!

Dear 1971 Classmates,

We are very excited about our upcoming reunion this October, and would like to briefly tell you more about it, especially the food and lodging options.

In 2014, Jerry and Kathy Taylor kindly hosted a mini-reunion at their house near Temple. Those who attended agreed that for 2016 we would forgo our "traditional" reunion for an extended weekend together at Summers Mill retreat. All of us who have attended past reunions have left wishing we could have spent more time visiting with one another. By getting together for a weekend we will have many more opportunities for sitting down, relaxing and reconnecting with friends.

We hope that everyone – whether those arriving from out of town or those still living in the Temple area – will consider staying at Summers Mill. The quaint facility has a total of 65 rooms (102 beds) in a variety of options, from cabins to houses to dormitory-style lodging. Rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis, so please call Summers Mill and make your reservations ASAP.

A total of five meals will be offered: Friday dinner....Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner....and Sunday breakfast. All meals will be catered, and you will have the option of choosing up to all five meals, or no meal. The reunion committee has selected the meals, and although we know we cannot satisfy everyone’s tastes, we sincerely hope you will be appreciative of the items we have selected. More info concerning meals is on the following pages, but please remember that all meal orders must be received no later than September 23.

We are very thankful to Linda Reed Embrey for continuing to head up our social media, Sandy Dixon for once again offering to receive and record all of our registrations and meals, and Liza Farrow-Gillespie for her great website support.

As the reunion nears, we will be reaching out for assistance with decorations, registration, setup of tables and chairs, cleanup, etc., so please stay tuned!

Sincerely, Gary Garrison and Glenn "Bubba" Johnson

PS: Anyone caught talking politics over the weekend will have their house TP’d!

Meal Menus

A total of five meals will be catered. All meal orders must be received by Friday, September 23. Orders received after this date, or at the door, cannot be guaranteed, so please do not delay!

Please Make Plans to Attend!

And please bring along your annuals, photos, band/pepperette uniform, jerseys, board games, playing cards, baseball cards, favorite music, horseshoes, puzzles, dominoes, or whatever you would enjoy sharing with one another over the weekend.
